Glad our local Fox affiliate (WPMT) picked up Crosswords, as it looks like no station in Philly has it yet...now I wonder where 43 plans to schedule it.

(Nashville) - WZTV/WUXP

The WZTV/WUXP duopoly airs every game show currently in syndication other than Wheel (WKRN) - it's not a surprise at all this got picked up by them.

I'm not exactly entirely surely sure what to expect by the listing of WOIO/WUAB; it's a duopoly, but other than 19 Action News, there's little if any sharing of programming between the two stations. I'm gonna play my hunch and say it's going to end up on 19, but at what time of the day, exactly, I'm not sure -- I doubt they're gonna do anything to Inside Edition, so unless something happens to Millionaire, it'll prolly end up in the morning sometime near Feud.

Naturally, Norfolk's not on the list. GAH! :-P

If I were to make a wild guess, I'd say either WTKR or WTVZ will pick this one up. Would fit in nicely on 'TKR, who airs a double run of Millionaire at 4 pm. Millionaire does okay for them as a news lead-in (their news ratings are another story), usually ties or beats "Montel" on WAVY.

I'm also thinking WTVZ, who airs a double run of Feud at 1 pm. 'TVZ is MyNetwork, so I'd like to think they'll be the first to go for "Temptation", and just air it after Feud.

Of course it's speculation, but if it all pans out, afternoons in Norfolk could become a lot of fun. :-)

BTW, not to threadjack, but have any of the other announced game show pilots picked up any steam?

What other pilots are there besides Tempation and Crosswords? There aren't any....Deal, Combination Lock, and Joker are all tabled.

IIRC, there was another pilot, some game show/stand-up comedy hybrid. Wasn't so much being pitched, as much as it was being thrown into the ring.

Wasn't there a Catch Phrase pilot in consideration as well?

BTW, complete list of affiliates is available at Buzzer.

I'm sorta not surprised that WDJT picked it up, as they have every other syndicated game show on their schedule.  Where "Crosswords" fits, I'm not sure.

My guess is that they list duopolys because the stations' owner acquired the rights to air it in the market.  It's probably too early to decide which station, if not both, will air it.

I got a feeling either our Fox or My Network affiliate will pick it up.  We do a little bit of program sharing between our 3 network affiliates, but I don't think my CBS station will pick it up -- Millionaire and Feud are doing well in their double runs here.

Hmmm...nobody in Green Bay yet. WACY/WGBA usually gets the Fremantle stuff, while WLUK has the J/WOF duo.

Here's the project I was looking for. Found it in a Broadcasting and Cable article.

Laugh-Off w/Jimmy Pardo...

I'm guessing it died a pretty quick death...

It wasn't taken to NATPE, AFAIK--just shopped to possible network/syndie/cable buyers.
