Visiting TPiR
« on: April 06, 2007, 09:47:40 PM »
I got my tickets for the May 15th PiR in the mail yesterday.

Now, I read the little card that comes with the ticket; stating the rules and whatnot.

And one of them was "No Backpacks".

I was gonna bring a tent to sleep in while I was in line.

Would this present a problem when it comes time to go inside?

(I'm taking a plane to the airport, then probably taking a bus or shuttle or something to the studio, which means there is no car or van to leave this tent in.)

Any help appreciated.

A-thank you.

You can have whatever you want with you out in line, but backpacks are not allowed in the studio and security won't hold them for you when you go through the metal detector. So you'll have to find someplace to stow your backpack/tent gear after you get your order of arrival slip at 6:00 a.m.

While planning for the trip, I read at the Farmer's Market website (question 21) that they have a baggage check in service, so you may want to check that out.

After the order of arrival passes are issued at 6am, you will have at least 2 hours (more if you're going to a Monday afternoon show) to return any items to your car or hotel room.  Do not leave any chairs unattended outside during this time or else the bagel shop people will take them (and rent them to future people waiting in line).

What's gonna happen to the bagel shop and other local businesses after Bob retires?
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Rumor has it Dave Price is a lock to be hired on as head cream cheese spreader.

There's a hotel right across from the studio and around the corner from Fairfax where the line starts.  It's called GuestHouse Los Angeles.  I stayed there when I saw the show two years ago and it was VERY VERY convenient.  The address is 7721 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90048 Phone # (323) 692-1771.  Check them out for information and a reservation.  Funny story about the bagel store, when I went the person supposidly treated another customer badly then a few minutes late a woman went in and bought every bagel and passed them out to everyone in line.  Nothing like a free breakfast to get addrenaline pumping.  I'd do it again in a heartbeat eventhough Bob won't be there anymore.

I just mailed away a request yesterday for that day - the 1:15 taping. Maybe I'll see you there.

My question, with tickets in such high demand, should I still receive my tickets in time? I already sent a request and received tickets for the April 30 taping, but unfortunately I have exams that overlap that date, so I had to send away for more.

For a modest fee of $3.50 plus shipping and handling, this dingus, who was apparently on the show two weeks ago, will give you all the help you're looking for, including the best places to sit (even though you're seated by a page) and how the taping is set up (even though that's not really "helpful" by any means). I'd say that $3.50 plus shipping is more of an investment than a payment, wouldn't you?!

(And yes, you're reading his description correctly; he's charging you S&H even though he's going to send it as an e-mail attachment.)

You also have the opportunity (at the bottom of the page) to order this "item" in quantity!

Ah, but he would have spent five times the $3.50 he is asking, or a munificent $17.50, for the information he is giving you.

Such a deal.

What a great little racket!  If this person can swind..., er 'entice' enough people to purchase his knowledge, then I want to lay claim on "secrets" of playing Ten Chances and Hit Me!

Then I'll expand into the vast Wheel of Fortune contestant wannabes market on how to play that game!
