Child's Play rerun

Two questions:

#1. Who was the announcer? It didn't sound like any of the usual suspects from that time period.

#2. Was there another technicians strike in Nov./Dec. 1982? Just curious because the first minute or so of the episode looked sloppy as hell.

I didn't see it today, but Fred Saxon of CNN fame was a fill-in for a time.  I don't think he did any other game show announcing.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

GSN.com's Buzz says it was some CBS staffer named Fred Foy, so I don't know. How did he sound?

Only problem with that was that Fred Foy was an ABC staffer based out of New York.

This is now the second time that you've been warned against using the GSN board as a primary source.  Please don't do it again.

And for those who may be curious as to the poster of that "information," he goes by irismason42 on our board..

And he is not one of the most trustworthy posters on that board. He is in fact "Mr. False information".

Wow, didn't know it was him. If I had known I definitely wouldn't have said anything. My apologies to anyone offended.

That's not the point.  You should have refrained from posting it not merely because it was irismason42, but because you'd been warned not to use the GSN board as a primary source, period.

In general, assuming that something is correct -- and therefore suitable to post on this forum -- unless you know the source to be unreliable is not a good way to build or maintain a good track record here.  If you understand that now, apology accepted.

There are three things I've learned never to discuss with people: Religion, politics, and the proper wrapping of microphone cables.
