The Jeopardy! DVD game (Yes, THAT one) seems to be on clearance at Best Buy for anywhere between $6-$20.  I'm going to go check it out in about 45 minutes...

The nice one?  With the buzzers?  DAMN.  It might just pay to have $5 from the Rewards Card system to find that one out.... :)

I got it at the one here in Phoenix for $10.49. You'll probably pay that much in batteries though, haha.

The password is 'rechargeable'. *ding*

How many batteries does it take?

Ooooh...I'm sorry.  Wrong thread.  The correct response is "What are rechargeable batteries?". :)

Anywho...Requires 4 "AA" batteries and 6 "AAA" Batteries, not included.  From Amazon.

$11.99 here in Rockford.  Thanks for the heads up, guys.

Now, there's just the little matter of finding a friend or two who will actually play a game of Jeopardy against me...

Good heavens.  The batteries likely would cost more than the game.  I didn't see it at the local BBY tonight.

The Toys R Us down the street from the aforementioned BBY had their copies of the 100 Mexicanos Dijeron box game marked down from their previous clearance price of $10 all the way down to $3.90.  I snagged a copy, which might end up at school for use by the Spanish teacher.

My mother actually thought it was pretty cool, so we took the game for a spin.

Took us four games before we were able to complete one.

Games one, two, and three all crashed on us during Double Jeopardy, somewhere between the first and the second Daily Double.  Oddly, all three were at different points; the first, after the correct answer to a Triple Stumper was revealed before going back to the board, the second after my mom missed and when I tried to rebound, and the third while on the board trying to select a clue.

Also, seven or eight times, one of us would ring in, but instead of giving us choices, the game would go back to the board, with that clue out of play but no change in score to either of us.  (Oddly enough, it did this on a Daily Double as well as I was trying to make a wager.)

Still not sure what we did wrong.

Here's a link to a site demonstrating the new electronic 1 vs 100 game:

http://www.spectaclelovesyou.com/

The box pictured here is of smaller size than what I've seen in stores, and other websites.
[/quote]
The demo is now at http://www.irwintoy.com/

While in Linens 'N Things over the weekend, I noticed they had the game in BOTH of the two differing size boxes.  I noticed that the smaller box version's game had a difference.

The smaller boxed game had the same standup console, however there is no slot for expandable game question cartridges (nor any mention of such cartridges on the box bottom), and the answer/mob/money buttons are built right into the console, in the spot where the wireless remote would be stored.

There was also mention, and a picture of the handheld version, which I haven't seen anywhere as of yet!

It looks like iToys is going the same route as Jakks Pacific, which originally planned to make their WOF and J! Plug N Play games expandable with "Gamekey" add-ons.  Speaking of which, LNT also had the second WOF Plug N Play, and it looks pretty much the same, except for the device being blue in color, instead of green!  While no specific mention on the package, it looks like the 2nd ed. features the Wild Card wrinkle!

Click this link for more information about the new DOND Secret Vault Games, which should be coming out next week:

BTW, www.gamestop.com is now listing a February 5, 2008 release date for the Merv Griffin's Crosswords PC game.

Drumond Park games, which makes the British DOND electronic games, seems to keep the same basic design for it's games as iToys.  This leads me to assume that if indeed iToys is developing a tabletop electronic Family Feud game, it will probably be similar to Drumond Park's Family Fortunes game:

Yes, iToys has developed a Feud tabletop and handheld game.  They are coming out soon.  I'm getting a copy or two of each, so I can tell you how they are in a week or so.

Edit: Apparently they've been showing the game on the credits of the TV show, as Zach Horan emailed me for some reason about this.  I think I need to change my email address.

Endless Games is now showing information, and prototype box art for their second edition TPIR DVD game, coming next year:

http://www.endlessgames.com/ns-TPIRDVD2.html#

It mentions what new games it will have--Plinko appears to be returning, with some improvements.

EDIT:  JUST FOUND OUT A SHORT TIME AFTER

While browsing at amazon.com, I found this entry, which describes the big DVD game box set from Imagination, but illustrates the wrong item.  The price is more sensible ($99.99), but they need to correct their error.

http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Game-Show-C...3001&sr=1-6

I also saw an entry for a 1 VS 100 Nintendo DS game, to come in May 2008.  No box illustration or anything like that at this time.
