It's in the Golden-Road thread:[/quote]
Ah, interesting, thanks. I've known about this for a while, but I hadn't seen a press release, so I wanted to know if that was horse's-mouth or public speculation or what. (I suppose, since it's his company, if he wants to announce it, he can. :))

More news from the GSHGHP:

A board game based on Discovery Channel's "Cash Cab"
A DVD game based on GSN's "Lingo"
A handheld electronic game based on "Power of 10"
An electronic game based on "Moment of Truth"

Are all currently in development.

An article recently mentioned that "Cash Cab" host Ben Bailey did a photo-shoot for the box art, and that the game should be out in August or September.

Also, here is a link, to the box art and product description for the "Moment of Truth," game which will be from Hasbro (not Cardinal as one source mentioned earlier) in August:

No word on the status of the other games AFAIK.

Many years ago, there was a game called "Scruples" that used the same question matter, sans lie detector. Save yourself $17 and find it on Ebay.

I'll be buying one, repackaging the "lie detector", and will commence marketing "Maury: The Home Game."

If your city is fortunate enough to have a Go! The Game Store in your mall, They have Identity the home game on sale, %50 off (about 12.50) and Password the DVD game on sale for 75% off (6.25).

I've seen the Password DVD game for $3.99 at Gabriel Brothers, a regional store in the Kentucky/Ohio/PA/WV area.

While on the topic of the Identity board game, how hard to find is it?  Have copies surfaced on eBay?  What has been the going rate for it on eBay?  The capitalist in me wants to snag all the local Go! store's copies this afternoon...

I've personally had a very hard time finding it.  I finally ordered the small tin version from Amazon, but I still don't have a copy of the box game.  Of course, the bigger capitalist question is whether anybody is going to WANT your horde of Identity home games.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

You'd want a copy...right? ;-)  I'm speculating that the local shop will even have copies of Identity.

The way I see it, the Identity box game could (tons of emphasis on 'could') be the Top Secret of this generation--presumably a home game with a low print run, at least compared to mass-produced games nowadays.  If there are at least 3 copies, I'll snag one for myself, one for Matt if he's interested, and one to see what happens on a certain online auction site.

Last I checked, there was a stack of 'em for sale at a store in Water Tower Place, or the other Michigan Avenue high-rise mall whose name eludes me.

If any of the collectors out there are really interested, I'll check to see if they still have 'em, and ship them out your way.

There's also Chicago Place and 900 N. Michigan.  Don't know which one besides Water Tower has the games store--they're all too rich for my blood.  :)
