I gotta ask: Is this crap going to get 86'ed?  This is the type of thread that make the GSN boards basically worthless.

And, if you want to have an actual discussion on this topic, it might help if you posted the '07 schedule too.

Honestly, reading that took me back. I must admit that that schedule was a nice mix of classics, and good originals. Didn't hurt that the genre was in pretty good shape as well (eight shows in syndication).

/And the credit crunches were tolerable!

What's wrong with the post, other than it's just another schedule thread? It's related to GSN so how is it off-topic?

I never said it was off-topic.  I just don't like the idea of crap like this being encouraged, because a flood of it will commence. "Which one of these schedules is better" is a common thread over there, and nothing comes of it.  I'm also of the opinion it's a complete waste of bandwith.

I think everything looks better in retrospect.  I did enjoy seeing the old Marshall Squares.  My very favorite time of GSN was when I first got the channel (which was just after the G-T shows came back).  Moore TTTT and Blyden WML every afternoon.  I used to take my lunch break at 3pm just to rush home to see those shows.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Hold your tongue, Mark. Remember, you're on thin ice already, don't need to fall into the freezing pond just because of something like this.

(I don't understand why there needs to be any comparison, mainly because I've only had GSN since last February, but still.)

Because certain people feel the inexplicable need to find something bad to say about whatever the current GSN schedule is. In September 2002 people were saying that schedule still wasn't as good as the schedules GSN ran in the 90s.In the 90s...well, there's a reason the Fall 97 to Spring 98 schedule got called the "Dark Period" It's been folks' pasttime for longer as long as game show fans have been gathering on The Internet.  3 or 4 years from now, people will undoubtedly express their shock and amazment at the amazing GSN June 2007 schedule that featured Rafferty's Card Sharks, Child's Play, Let's Make a Deal, Press Your Luck, and etc.

You know, whether you love, hate it, or really really hate it . . . how many times do the mods have to say "just because it's mind-numbing doesn't mean it's grounds for retracting posting privileges" before it sticks?

I've said often that the fact that "I saw it on the GSN board" isn't enough to make a claim true.  Perhaps a reminder is in order that the flip side of that holds as well: "but they do it on the GSN board" isn't enough to call something improper either.  I'm not the world's biggest fan of the schedule-comparison threads either -- my view is along the lines of Mr. Thrasher's -- but GSG's post was legitimate.  If he tries to post a dozen or so of them in a short period of time I might hold a different view, but a single post doesn't merit that level of concern.

As for you, Mr. Odor: the fact is that you don't like the idea of anything you don't happen to want to read being encouraged, and your definition of "a waste of bandwidth" is "anything that doesn't interest me at the particular moment when I'm looking for something to complain about."  Are you really so eager to go back to the Isolation Booth that you're willing to keep up that attitude despite repeated warnings?
