Looked to be early 70's, around '71 would be my educated guess. Oddly enough, they cut right to PYL, which leads me to believe that it might have been a operator error. Another error, when plugging what was coming up next, the announcer mentioned that "Password Plus" was after Match Game, complete with 70's era model, although "Super Password" came up on the screen.

Seems as if GSN is skipping around on these LMAD episodes, since today's seemed like it was earlier than Mondays.  Anyone know when today's was from?

They were probably running the network primetime eps from 1970-71 that got saved due to the fact that they were included in the 1971-72 syndication package.  Syndicated "LMAD" always included in each bicycling cycle repeats from previous seasons (and the daytime ABC runs contained a lot of repeats outside of sweeps--it seemed to me like Monty only did four new episodes a week most weeks), and so they pulled some network shows and cut out a couple of minutes for the extra commercials and put them in the mix for the first syndicated season.

the Friday AM episode was from the era pre-blue curtain set.  That I assume was an ABC primetime ep?

Indeed.

There are three things I've learned never to discuss with people: Religion, politics, and the proper wrapping of microphone cables.

That is back when there was actually a HORN SECTION in the band! Sammy Nestico, a former right-hand-man for Count Basie (who's still very much active as an arranger), wrote the horn charts. Man, I would have liked to hear (and see) those again.

(Actually, it's Nestico who's still very much active. Count Basie, though...)
