Anyone have any info on this US pilot, i.e. who hosted it, was it for network or syndication, and possibly an approximate year? The issue of whether the show could be done in the states has come up before, and I'm not surprised at the reason given for the show not being picked up.

However, it surprises me a bit, that the show didn't sell in the 80s, when word-based game shows became popular, esp. after Wheel took off. Surely someone would've liked a more intellectual word game?
