Monday "DOND"'s going to Friday at 8 p.m., "Singing Bee"'s staying in its current Tuesday night slot (as "Biggest Loser" expands to 90 minutes) and "1 vs. 100" is on the bench.  Other changes in NBC PR:

I'm not going to say that "1v100" is toast, since there probably will be an hour that will open up, but it doesn't look good.

The Time Slot of Extreme Anal Chafing. NBC milked it for all they could get and now they're tossing it aside. I love it.

I'm sure it will be back. If for no other reason than I wish it would be off the air for good.
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

And NBC wonders why Telemundo is beating them.

I seriously wonder how hard it would be to put Deal on Wednesday (or the original Monday slot), then keep 1 vs. 100 at Friday. I know it's their only Top 20 show*, but the novelty's wore out its welcome some time last year. If they want to preserve its only hit show**, they really need to reconsider.

*Hit in terms of ratings...they have a lot of critical hits, but I doubt any of them cracked the Top 40.

**I take that back...Heroes might've been Top 20.

(looks, Heroes #21)

I'm not buying concern for Bob Saget yet.  Something's going to flop (most likely Life), and that's not what's got me nervous for them.  No, it's not because they're going to make me choose between Howie Mandel and Jennifer Love Hewitt (<3) on Friday nights.  The network's biggest sign of desperation came in another article (I read it on Zap2it; it must be true).

Coming to NBC in 2008, it's...

dun dun dunnnnnnn...

Because The Apprentice should be compared to a short-lived game show that was pretty mediocre to begin with.

I don't want to be Rumor Control, but NBC is also thinking about reviving "American Gladiators". I will agree that the schedule is good for NBC, you shouldn't stick Deal or No Deal (which is honestly, a filler game show) against anything, keep it on a day where little activity is done. (Monday is "Heroes", Friday is whatever Drama they have). The singing bee could fit well on Tuesdays, as there is nothing else to watch... well except "Don't Forget The Lyrics" on FOX.

But I give Kudos for NBC for its bravery on removing DOND on one of its days.

In this case, since there was a credible source for the rumor (Advertising Age), you actually would have been fine mentioning it as long as you'd cited that source and provided a link.  But in general, yeah, you want to be very careful about rumors; at least one individual permanently lost his posting privileges because, among other things, he repeatedly posted "news" items without regard to accuracy despite having been warned on numerous occasions.

How about, they didn't learn from ABC's mistake with WWTBAM, then?

Thanks David, and everyone for the "Warm Welcome" (literally)

This came from Variety.
After the awful move of holding off 1 VS 100, NBC might be redeeming themselves soon as new entertainment executive Ben Silverman has confirmed that he is looking on making a new take on the campy classic American Gladiators under his Reveille banner.  He declined to discuss how it would fit under NBC’s brand, and he also did say that it’s not a done deal yet, but there is one being planned as of now at least.

I unfortunely expect 'Celebrity Apprentice' to fail, on terms of "Likes/Dislikes" between the contestants and trump, and as he will not fire anyone for an Apprenticeship, it is just going to be "For Charity"

Way to go, Mark. That was nowhere near his point, and you knew it.

But never let that get in the way of your snarking, of course.

Back to the original point about 1 v, 100 being put on hold.

The reason may be as simple as Fox's American Band will be starting late so at the start of the fall Fox will be running Fifth Grader and Thurs and Fri.

NBC probably did not want 1 v. 100 to air opposite the more popular quiz show.

As Chris Lemon said, NBC milked DOND for all it is worth, and is putting it out to pasture Friday nights. My guess is that it will be off NBC completely by fall '08 and become a five-day-a-week syndication exclusive.

Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.
