The new Jimmy Kimmel ABC show "Set For Life" premieres tonight. Just a reminder because there hasn't been too much chatter about the show.

Aside: watching the promos, the typefaces and some other elements look a lot like something Shat on them. Hoping that music isn't recycled as well.

That was my first thought when I caught the promo Sunday. No doubt it'll have it's own generic, bombastic theme, though.

Also of note from the promo: "Set For Life" goes above and beyond in the realm of contestant stereotypes, by taking an over-enthusiastic, obese African-American woman... and adding a tiara. Think of it as the "murse" of '07. Did I really see that?

Reminder No. 1: It's Endemol. And not even Scott St. John Endemol.

Reminder No. 2: If ABC didn't like it enough to put it on in November, that should give a clue about how good it is.

I agree with the SMTM connection, which is not at all surprising given who's behind it. It'll give me something to watch while at the desk, but the contestants in the promos are already strike one for me.

Surprisingly enough, I think it was none of the above. Looked like the space between the O and R.

Gotta say, now I'm just curious to see it because I don't think I've ever seen a show so universally DESPISED before, EVER. And I remember the to-do over Extreme Gong.
