More WWE Game Show Parodies
« on: August 14, 2007, 09:19:11 PM »
This one is for the wrestling fans - On the August 13 Monday Night Raw, Jim Ross said Steven Regal is a game show fan (maybe he is).  For the second straight week, they did a parody of a game/participation show.  This week was WWE Idol with two old favorites stepping up to the microphone.
Any chance they will do more game shows?
They could do What's My Line?  Imagine John Daly reading the names off the chalkboard of some of the famous WWE personalities who have appeared over the years in the ring playing the practitioner of a specific profession.  I can hear John reading
- Phinneous I. Godwin (with the words "hog farmer" posted over his face
- Skinner ("Everglades crocodile hunter)
- Rick Martel ("male model")
- Irwin R. Schyster ("tax auditor")
- T. J. Hopper ("plumber")
- Duke Drosey ("garbageman")
- Bob Backlund ("presidential candidate")
- Brutus Beefcake ("hair stylist")
- Kimala ("tribal chief")
I am sure there are many more, but the best one would be, "Panel, Mr, Nikolai Volkoff has a unique part-time second job (singer)

Which ones did I miss?

I'm not sure why, out of the entirety of your barely comprehensible post, this one thing stood out.  However, just so you know, the occupation of 'singer' is not a "unique" job.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

It'd be quite hard, though, since he's well uhh...dead.

He was a Ugandan Giant, not Tribal chief...Atleast get it right ;)...

/Does it say anything about me that I knew that?
//P.S. It's "Kamala"
///Wasn't he at one point called "The Ugandan Headhunter" too?

In that case it'd be "Accordion Player". :)

The most respectful reply I can muster would be to assert that the average WWE fan would have never heard of What's My Line?, and the "joke" would go completely over their heads.  The rest of my thoughts re: original post remain my own, as expressing them might get me banned from this board.

It's posts like these that make wrestling fans appear to be the lowest common-denominator. =\

Um, I am (ashamed?) to say I am a wrestling fan. Until he says it in a published interview, Steven Regal is NOT a game show fan. This is just WWE's creative writing team trying to come up with something, well, creative. (They haven't for me to tune back in yet.) Will they do more game/reality show parodies? Probably. Will it get me to watch? No.

Chris,
Goodness gracious, if you know I am going to say something beneath your level (and it seems I always do), then don't open up the link to read it.  You certainly are above gawking at stupid people, aren't you?  If you're not, you shouldn't criticize them because you would then also have faults.  Realize everyone is not as urbane as you.  You're too smart to be bothered with my silly ramblings, I know.  So, donlt read posts of people who offend you so; it does you no good.  Fulfill your possibilities, and go back to expanding on the Fred Smythe character.  You embarass me when you taunt my shortcomings.  Have some respect for those you deem trivial and with whom you can find no good.
