A few GSN Schedule Notes
« on: August 17, 2007, 08:47:23 PM »
According to Zap2it, Starting September 1st, H2's weekend 10:30am slot will be replaced with Family Feud with Dawson. Also they are showing for the 6:30pm airing of H2 a "To Be Announced". So from the looks of it, GSN may have lost the rights to H2. According to the GSN schedule area, they show that Body Language is airing Late Sunday Night at 1am. So if this is true, Playmania may be getting its airings cut.

I remember back in 2005, GSN.com claimed that Match Game '90 was airing at 2:30 A.M. on a certain day, and that turned out to be an error, so take GSN's showpage listing with a grain of salt

Since the redesign of their site a little while back, the scheduling system active on GSN's site has been one of the site's most reliable features - including those little blurbs at the top of show pages with the scheduling details.  It mentioned the return of Combs' Feud before anything.

That said, given that it's showing *Body Language* in place of Playmania, you have to ask if this isn't just some sort of one-off stunt. Or who knows, maybe people *are* beginning to turn away from the call in and lose shows.

Steve Beverly has now confirmed the schedule for the Late Sunday/early Monday schedule. In the place of Playmania is the following:

12am: Super Password
12:30am: Double Dare(Trebek)
1am: Body Language
1:30am: All Star Beat The Clock(Hall)

This looks like a great schedule. I much rather have this than that stupid Playmania show. Nice job GSN.

Wow. Seriously, was GSN just waiting for me to unplug my DirecTV before they quit sucking?

Wow -- if this is indeed true, it actually kind of smacks of GSN's pre-"Dark Period" sked in '97. DD had some late night airings, as well as ASBTC.

And yet, smacking of the "Dark Period" may arguably be an improvement.

I remember there was someone new coming into one (or more) of GSN's top positions.  Do you think that may have something to do with the recent influx of awesome?

Thank goodness Body Language returns, and Double Dare. I'm guessing they're skipping to the celebrity episodes of Hall BTC...

Once a week isn't that bad. Better than nothing. :)

Since the listing is "All-Star Beat The Clock," I'd say that's probably a pretty safe guess.

I was asking because a lot of people I know refer to the civilian epsisodes as the "All-Star" version. No need to be rude about it.

Well, they would be wrong too. Please pass my "wow" along to them.

Is this the first time since 1997 that Double Dare is getting regular airings?
