Question about the Without Prejudice? prize

$25,000 is a lot for a guaranteed weekly prize on GSN, pretty much more than any other show previously (or currently when you look at the others).  Is there a specific reason for this?  Did GSN have especially high hopes for the show?  Does anyone know if they're getting better ratings/advertising dollars for it?  Is Dr. Robi working pro-bono?  It just strikes me as curious for a digital cable channel to be giving out so much every week.

If you can't tell, GSN is on an apparently strict $25K per week budget right now.

Lingo rarely gives away more than $25K a week, and that's balanced out by the losers.

I think we can say Chain Reaction has two $2K winners and three $7K winners a week on average.  $4K plus $21K = $25K.

TTQ has a $5K prize budget

Grand Slam was originally a 4 week show.  $100K divided by 4 = $25K per week.

Without Prejudice just fits perfectly in their range.  They can give away decent money on a show without really going extravagant.  I'd really like to see one hard to win-big money bonus instead of the never ending amount of easy to win-low money games.  I'd really like to know where all their prize budget has gone too.  The drop in prizes from 2002 to today is staggering.

Technically, the World Series of Blackjack pays out $1,000,000 over 13 weeks, but I don't know if there is a buy-in or some sort of deal with Burger King that makes them cough up all or part of the money.  American Dream Derby would be my other guess, but I don't remember the length of the show or if there were any other prizes than the half-mil top prize.

Wintuition's top prize was $50K, so one winner would blow the budget.  I believe they had several over their 40 episodes.

3. Not quite several, but with a big consolation prize (wasn't it $500 per right answer?), it still had a decent sized budget.

And the win on the first episode was nullified because that contestant was on another GSN show, Russian Roulette, within the previous year.  The first episode was never rerun after that initial airing.
