Forgive me if this is old news...I didn't see it posted anywhere else.

CBS.com's Price page has a nice slide show with a bunch of photos of the new set. I think it looks great and look forward to seeing it "in action".

Wow!  Can't wait!  (I'm not much for words when I'm this impressed.)

Beautiful! I'm especially impressed by the Giant Price Tag, though that may be because the descriptions of it sounded so awful.

Man!

When even CBS misuses the term "Showcase Showdown", maybe it's time to say, "you call it a podium, I call it a lectern, let's call the whole thing off."

The new set is lovely, though.  And how nice that they put some of the scenic artists in the photos.

Am I right in thinking that the door panels are wider than they used to be?

Yes, but there are also only eight panels instead of 12.

Because all the cool kids are doing it:

Did someone bother to tell the website crew that Bob Barker is no longer the host of TPIR?

Well, that would explain it.  ;)

I'm sorry, I'm just not sold on the set design.  The excessive green just looks...ugly...to me.  Particularly the shade used.  Aside from the Joker-esque contestant seat backings, the audience area revamp looks nice, but I'm not a fan of the stage changes.

To what excessive green are you referring? The color on the doors and price tag?

And you didn't think that the green all over Barker's set in the early 80's was excessive? The turntable carpet, the turntable borders, the door borders, and contestant's row have all been green at the same time.

I really enjoyed watching this slideshow. It's nice to see the behind the scenes process of actual set design, with people actually painting set pieces, you know?

Cool pics.  This one says 'Price doors' but it looks more like a new Barker Wall.
