TPiR on GSN question...
« on: October 10, 2007, 10:03:00 PM »
I've got a question...

Brett Sommers was quoted, she didn't get another dime for putting MG on GSN.

If that is true, why isn't the exec call Freea$$ and getting TPiR as a priority.  Screw the cost.  The pre-1994 Barker Beauities did not have in her contract that they will have a fee on GSN.  If they want to get good again, they need to get TPiR now!!!

...and this is why you are not a network executive.

Surely the folks at GSN know "The Price is Right" would be great on their lineup. But from what I've read here (or possibly on this board's predecessors), they didn't lose it intentionally in the first place. CBS said to Fremantle "thou shalt not offer reruns of TPIR as long as we are buying new episodes." And profitability aside, "screw the cost" will only get you so far when what you want to buy is not for sale.

While this has really nothing to do with the rest of the discussion, did anyone else see the title of this topic and think that "tat" somehow must refer to Bob Barker?
