Party with a Spoiler!
« on: November 16, 2007, 12:27:55 PM »
Watching "Double Dare" regularly for the first time (I was in grade school first time around), I'm riveted by the Spoilers segment. Those of you in Southern California with a genius I.Q. can meet Dr. Stratton Lindenmeyer, the star of the early going! In person, even!

Click on the link here, then click on "Odyssey Happy Hour" and you'll find details plus a photo of Dr. Lindenmeyer.

He's smiling, which throws off recognition, but it looks to be him. Here in the cold Middle West, I can only imagine the thrill of munching stuffed potato skins with an unsung T.V. legend. Maybe someone can go and recount their experience!

Oops--the Mensa website is more complicated than I thought.
Here.
I'm sure they must get a lot of traffic.

A spoiler smiling?!

/"Things Rarer than Hen's Teeth" for $1600, Alex.

Edit:  I missed that Neumms mentioned it in the original post.  Anyhow, Dr. Lindenmeyer has been my favorite Spoiler thus far.

I wonder how tickled he would be to have someone come up to him and mention that they know him from Double Dare. I'm thinkin', very. :)

Irony?
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

Wasn't that a "Pyramid" category?  Seems to me I remember Billy Crystal seeing "Things Rarer than Hen's Teeth" and saying, "A 'Double Dare' spoiler smiling."

/Can't remember if he got buzzed.
//Or if the spoilers were drinking in their little booths.
