TTD is a fairly early ep. from Thom McKee's reign----he only had $11K at the start of this one!
And he ends it with $30,400 including his first of 8 cars.

And that episode is proof positive that The Joker's Wild sucks copious quantites of nether region.

Treasure Hunt's a keeper that's for sure!
That was the infamous episode...

SPOILER (click and drag between >> and <<)
>>...that aired (at least the stunt with the Rolls Royce win) on 60 Minutes once; the twist is, this was a decade before the 38% maximum tax bracket, and the taxes on an $11,000 prize were so high that she had to sell the car in order to pay them.<<

One question: when they showed the two Chevy Vegas, that music sounded incredibly familiar.  Was that another show's theme?  (I'm thinking maybe something like The Parent Game.)

So what were your thoughts on the marathon?

My thoughts: I thought this marathon was great, great choices made by the people who voted for the shows, and the episode choices, for the most part, were great, too.

Oh, and one more thing: Now that the Thanksgiving marathons are over, when GSN returns to the normal weekday rotation next Monday, will they pick up right where they left off on the shows in the normal schedule, or will they skip some episodes?

That was "Baja California", I believe.

Agreed.

I was fortunate enough at the last Congreff to meet Geoff Edwards.  Sounding totally fanboi, I said to Edwards that while I understood the reason he was there was to honor Bob Stewart, having done CR and JACKPOT! for Stewart, as far as I was concerned the best thing he ever did was TH.  He seemed to appreciate that.

What did they give us for Bullseye?  Another celeb ep?  Did Jim Lange tell Jon Bauman that he'd be a great game show host? *g*

A 1981 civilian episode. And unlike last Feast of Favorites, we actually got to see Bonus Island!

Why? Because Shear sniped the game? That would be the "Lady Luck is Queen" part of the whole equation.

Sheezus, did we ever.  That took what, ten minutes to play out?  And the rest of the game just seemed to have an unnatural amount of drag to it, unlike B&E's two other big quizzers of the day.  That Millionaire-style pacing really doesn't work when the stakes are only 4-digit.  I've gotta agree with what I've read about this show before: if they picked up the pace a bit, and made the questions more of a challenge (becoming more difficult in longer contracts,) this one could have been salvageable.  Instead, they added celebrities.

I hate to sound like a worry-wart, but I hope some of these episodes end up on YouTube or somewhere. My DVR just had to conk out while I was out of town and didn't record the marathon (and it didn't help where I was staying is temporarily GSN-less).

If Time Warner was a cat, I'd be swatting them with a broom.

It was nice to see different than usual episodes from those shows we don't get to see on the current GSN schedule.

-The episode from the last version of Jackpot! with a $13,500 Super Jackpot win was great to watch!

-After watching the Bullseye episode, I now know that the 10-spin maximum from the original version of Bonus Island has been achieved more than once.
