The Price is Right is Going Primetime again

They will tape specials again in November according to the website at CBS. My guess is that these will be episodes for January to air between editions of Survivor.  It even includes a rare Saturday taping on November 8th.

Here is information on the webpage:
http://www.cbs.com/daytime/price/tickets/

If this was posted already, my apologies. :-)

Tim is right... The word is out... It can be told... November 6, 7 and 8th...

Based on the tremendous ratings success of the previous primetime specials, TPIR is taping three new \"Million Dollar Spectaculars\"! Plans are already well underway for special music, new stagings of a couple of favorite games, and for special showcases to match the three different themes of the three shows. These specials should ROCK! I'm SO looking forward to them!

Apparently CBS has not yet announced the themes for these three shows, but you'll love them. The Saturday taping is designed to help accommodate the audience members for that specific show's theme. And even the most casual fan will want to roll tape on the most special one of these episodes!

Enjoy the anticipation    ;-)

It's Rod's gig. Everybody on the planet (and a few neighboring asteroids) are hoping his health will improve to where he's back at the mic. Period.

I don't want to say anything to detract from or \"jinx\" Rod's return becoming a reality.

Yet, as TV is a big-money business, contingency plans are needed. I have been told I should be prepared to step in if Rod can't make it.

I think TPIR does best when it doesn't do themed shows. I think the military shows were an exception. Those were pretty good.

There will already be regular Xmas shows, so I hope they don't do a theme around this.

An all elderly audience would get pretty boring pretty fast.

An all college crowd, which is probably one of them, is pretty much the same as every show they tape these days.

A celebrity edition wouldn't work.

An all High school kids show???

I can't wait for Race Game on the Turntable
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

Me too. I am very happy to hear that this is Rod's gig. I wish him the best of health and a quick recovery.

A celebrity edition wouldn't work.

Maybe it would a little if they're playing for members of the studio audience. If they're playing for charity (which is the norm for many of these celebrity editions), then it'll probably be no interest. Especially so if the stars come from the \"B\" list.
