Sorry.  June 19, 1988 was a Sunday.

Surely it was a Super Bowl broadcast.  It was a game shown on TV. :-)

How many times are we going to let this guy ask "please tell me everything about every game show EVAR"-type questions?

FWIW, I let through about one out of every seven.

I try to let through the ones that have a chance of starting a legitimate discussion.  If you saw the ones that didn't go through, you'd have a better idea of what I mean. ;-)

*sigh* Just another landmine, that's all he is.

Fortunately, the more of these that are permitted on the board, the less getting banned really matters.

Intentional, part of making sure the joke was obvious enough.

For some folks, no joke is obvious enough. Many moon ago (sic), I tweaked a less-than-clueful person on Usenet by saying that some show or another was due to premiere on September 31. Months and months later, people were still coming by and saying that they heard the show was premiering on 9/31, and what channel could they find it on?

Actually, you gotta give a guy credit for this much attention to detail. I wouldn't have cared that much. :)

Had to be something from the 50's when there were only three channels and $64,000 Question, Twenty-One and Dotto kept people glued to the tube.  The scandals pretty much killed the genre among the public at large.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.
