I would totally agree that he cares, but Travis's comment sums it up.  You can really "care" for the contestants and want them to win, but when you bum out your viewing audience by seeming unenthousiastic on screen, it doesn't bode well for those of us looking to watch a "happy" hour of television.  (Or 39 minutes...)
