Canada to get its French "5th Grader"

TVA announced that popular and handsome Charles Lafortune, currently hosting the daily Le Cercle, will helm the French-Canadian version of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader, to air fall 2008. Lafortune has shown his Cosby-like chops with the much-loved L'école des fans, where he would interview children. He should do well on the show, although this would mean that both Canadian versions will, by and large, lack Jeff Foxworthy's ribbing of adult contestants.

I was hoping Don "Anything You Can Do" Harron would host the English version in his Charlie Farquharson persona.
