/Matt Ottinger CAN fight the Temptation.
//Matt Ottinger took the Whammy's money.
///In Matt Ottinger's world, a "Daily Double" refers to his two fists.
////Matt Ottinger knows the significance of the red boxes.
/////In 1981, Matt Ottinger was Jack Barry's next choice for another game show. Not as a host, but as the bonus round enemy...however, contestants didn't want to risk such a lethal option, just to win some Z-Brick, a trip to Mexico, and a Chevrolet Chevette.

I joined.  Mr. Ottinger gave me a Password Plus home game; it felt a piece of him was imparted unto me.

So I'm the 34th member of this group and the 30th member of the Michi-Matt Fanatical Society.

There must be a hidden meaning somewhere.

And only Matt O. knows.

Since this was mentioned, the group has tripled in size. Wow...just wow.

I'm 31--there aren't enough days in the month to contain Matt Ottinger.

(And this may be the weirdest topic derailment I've ever seen.)

That pretty much sums it up for me too.  Couple things by way of explanation:

Mike Knapp was an early QuizBusters player.  The references to "Don't step on the Q" gives that away.  In the early years of the show, we had a large letter Q on the floor of the set, made from some material that looked really good on camera but got dirty very easily.  So as the players and audience entered the studio, the floor director would constantly remind them not to step on the Q.  The winning team members at the end of each season got to have their picture taken standing on the Q, which turned out to be a remarkably big deal for many of them.  For at least the last decade or so, the logo on the floor is a lighting effect, so Knapp must have been old-school QB, raising the question of how long that page has been sitting there in the first place.

But hey, thanks for turning this into my favorite thread EVER.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

I'll say.  All but 5 of the group's member have joined in the past 48 hours (which seems to be when Facebook notes group updates)
This signature is currently under construction.

Roger, is this the first time a topic derailment has happened as the result of the "From:" section of someone's profile information?

Matt doesn't need a $100 pocket.  He made one from his hair.
