What's the verdict on the FF All-Stars DVD?

Anybody picked up the "Family Feud All-Stars" DVD yet? I remember watching those as a kid and getting a far bigger kick out of those than the daily game. Is it priced comparable with the MG set?

I picked it up for $19.99 I think. The quality of the episodes
isn't great. At least one of them looked to be trade circuit
quality with no explanation anywhere. The hour long episodes
are split into segments so, for example, if you pick "Dukes of Hazzard
vs. Waltons" you'll get half an episode. One small nitpick with this
way of doing it is reading the menu spoils the outcome- if the menu
has 3 choices, "A vs. B" "C vs. D" and "A vs. C" you know who wins
the first two matches. There is a Play All button, though. The menu
is clever, using the answer board to display episode lists.

Being all celeb episodes, we aren't treated to the ticket and
prize plugs we got on the MG set. Some episodes do have production
slates at the start, and during one you can hear Gene Wood warming
up the audience in the background.

For $20, I think it's a good deal and look forward to future sets.

I picked up the FF DVD set at Best Buy for $19.99.  Haven't had a chance to open it yet, but I read there is a FF DVD set featuring "civilians" coming out down the line.

Hmmm...that piques my interest a bit.   I actually had it in my hand on Tuesday, but didn't want to spend the $24.99 they were asking for it.  Not yet, anyway.

Maybe eventually...but I'd rather have some civilian eps.

That would be consistent with what an insider told me at GSN.  He said there was one show on the DVD that GSN didn't air because of the poor quality of the video.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

Having no explanation seems very unwise to me--how many people are going to return the DVD as defective based on that?

I'm guessing that would be the Tuesday episode with Leave it to Beaver which looks in poor quality.
