Well, thus far, I have voted for "Headline Chasers", a very underrated game from the 70s, created and hosted by Wink Martindale.  King World, who originally syndicated this game, put this show to lead into the local news for the most part.
Now years later, a show called "The Challengers" came out and Buena Vista, who syndicated the show, did the same thing, since this game was topical and dealt with news items of the day.
Sadly, both "Challengers" and "Headline Chasers" lasted only one season.
I intend to vote again for other shows, and I would like to see a mixture of what GSN has on now and what it doesn't have.  Hope for the best!!

Especially me -- consider me a part of the crowd that has voted for Bullseye every time thus far.

  • Just leave the set; that’d be terrific.

I am just curious; what is the fasanation with "Bullseye" here?  I've never thought of it as much of a game...just an entirely too long front game with a typical B&E end game.

Incidently, my vote are going to Go.

I for one have never seen much of Bullseye.  I did however see part of the pilot which was such bad quality I didn't care to watch any more of it.  Since so many people want to see it, along with myself, I am alternating my votes between Bullseye and GO.  I really hope that GO makes the countdown this year!

A lot of it, I think, is that it was a VERY GOOD (albeit long) front game, with a great strategic element to go along with the knowledge quiz...do I stop here and take the money, or keep going and possibly lock myself down to a longer contract than I want to next time?. It's also entertaining to watch because the set was very representative of its time (and sadly the sort of thing you don't see these days).

If I were voting in this FoF thing, it would prolly get my nod behind Break The Bank and Now You See It.

I agree. All three members of the B-E Trilogy [TJW, TTD, Bullseye] did the strategy thing to some extent [TJW w/ the different valued categories; TTD with the 3 in a row element] but out of all 3 shows, Bullseye did it the most.

I'd vote for Bullseye, but since Perry's Card Sharks and Collyer's Beat the Clock haven't aired for a while and are my favorites, my votes are saved for them.

(Note: Save "Bulleye" votes for the last week of voting)

I haven't voted at all, but: are the Perry and Eubanks Card Sharks listed separately?  You could be voting for Card Sharks and wind up with two Eubanks episodes.

Does this mean that if Break The Bank makes the cut that we might get stuck with the Joe Farago edition?

No, KLine and Friends owns the Rayburn/Farago BtB. The only version of BtB GSN has rights to air are the 1976 ABC version and the 1976-77 weekly syndicated version.

Which is how we ended up with both Press Your Luck and Whammy! last year.

I am definitely for doing that.  I really want to see Bullseye and GO. [/quote]
You've got my help on the latter show.
