Yes, that is the point.  But then again, I admit, I don't lurk these boards as often as I used to, so I can't recall what has been criticized.[/quote]
Great. Then it might be wise to avoid using "B-b-b-but you never say that about Show X!" as an argument going forward.

To be fair, I browse on an almost daily basis, and seldom see Greed discussed, let alone criticized.
Protecting idiots from themselves just leads to more idiots.

Nor WinTuition.  But I assure you, Greed has seen it's fair share of criticism in the past, and for issues directly related to the winnability of the grand prize.

My main problem with "WinTuition" is the problem you have with an all-academics Q&A--you need the pop culture stuff as a leavening element (and for the purposes of viewer involvement).  I admired the concept--I just thought it didn't work.

On the other hand, "Cram" was nothing more than a silly late-night show and it worked beautifully as a silly late-night show.  It always seemed to me that the complaints about the show were not so much towards the show itself as GSN's not-all-that-surprising decision to make Icey the focal point of the show's promos.

In fact, if GSN ever does take up my idea of doing quirky, offbeat sorts of shows for late-night as a way of competing with the Adult Swims of the world, they could do a lot worse than revive "Cram."

As a faithful first season Cram viewer, their decision to make the game easier killed it.  The second season stunts were usually much simpler, which helped in not having many blowouts but also made the second round pretty much a moot point.  And we all know how we hate moot point rounds around here.

What kind of double stunts were the teams assigned in the later episodes?

The second season stunts tended to have a few choices that the average person would know beforehand, plus the bar to get a perfect score was much lower.  In season 1, perfect scores were rare.  In season 2, they were common.  An example of a season 2 stunt was sports logos -- they had to match the logo to the city.  Fine -- except they used major league logos.  A better one would have been to use minor league, NCAA D3 or Canadian college logos, something nobody would have familiarity with.

For those of you who get Fox Reality, the concept of Cram is done much better with a show called Solitary.  It's in a reality show vein, so get used to no last names, personal stories, wacky editing, etc.  But the games they play as tests for the contestants are very good.

They haven't done a third season of that yet, have they?

Solitary is *wonderfully* twisted. :)

I was able to personally tell Bob Boden that Solitary creeps me out.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

And I was hooked from go. I joined the reality genre for the challenges and stuff, and Solitary delivers home runs a-plenty. I knocked out four episodes in a row, and every challenge left me thinking "They actually DID that!" and pleased at the outcome. (One of the most devious ones I thought came in the first season, where the contestants had to memorize a bunch of nonsense like "The 38th President of the United States was Larry Fine," and so on, then answer questions based on the mis-information.)

Creepy, twisted, and just plain good watching. I hope Bob was proud of your pronouncement, QB-Matt. :)

I'm guessing it's just the rerun rights unless they choose to revive the show which isn't completely out of the realm of possibility.  But I am honestly not completely sure; I'll check into it.

Who would host?  Mark L. W. seems way too busy nowadays :p

You think GSN is done making schedule changes for now? Well, don't, cause there's another one coming:

According to Buzzerblog, High Stakes Poker goes in at 9:00PM Sunday nights replacing the Lingo hour starting April 13th.

I refuse to watch a minute of Moment of Truth, but if they offered me what I imagine Mark's getting paid, I'd host it in a dress.

/Lest we forget he had a Sleazy Daytime Talk Show (tm) for a spell in the nineties.

I like football and know about the NBA...but I despise hockey.  I would have known a few of the common ones...I don't think its as easy as you're making it out to be.
