Winners of Annuities

I've got a question.  Did the top prize winners of the 1970's $100,000 Name That Tune or The $1,000,000 Chance of a Lifetime continue to receive their annuity payments after the series went off the air?  Who guarantees such payments if a show does leave the air?

I'm sure they have insurance of some kind to cover such things. I believe we have reports here of winners on CoaL still receiving their payments...
