Hit the Buzzer, Win a Cookie.

Takes a hell of a long time, but there's very little challenge.

Limiting ourselves to actual shows that have advertised million-dollar payouts, I think Weakest Link has to rate as harder to win $1M on than Survivor.

Even though we haven't see it yet, I'm gonna bet Million Dollar Password is going to be hard as hell to give away a million.  And I'm not talking about content...I'm talking about competent celebrities giving decent enough clues.

Another show: The Celebrity Hollywood Squares/Connect Four Hour

Right now the easiest is Deal or No Deal.

What other show gives you a 50-50 shot?

Them's not tha' satistics talkin'.

Even with 13 million dollar cases in play (which is far, far removed from the norm on the show), you still have less than a 50/50 chance of winning a million dollars.  There is a 50/50 chance that your case holds a million dollars, but you'd still either have to be left with a guaranteed win (and the odds aren't 50/50 for that) or else you'd have to make one ridiculous gamble in order to have a chance to win it.

In fact I think the Mission they've been playing for the last few weeks shows just how hard it is for someone to win the million dollar grand prize on Deal or No Deal.

In terms of guaranteed huge payouts, I would have liked my chances on Duel.

Honestly, how many people on this forum can say they'd have even a decent shot at it?

I'm thinking that number is a little higher than you think.

Disagree with that.  It's been nearly 5 years since it was won on the syndie show.  Maybe the questions are harder than they were on Regis' version, but for a life-changing million dollars they should be hard.  If it was that easy it would have happened more often.

No arguing with Matt's point about the questions, but how can you call something "easy" without assessing the risk involved?  In this case, it's equally "easy" to lose $468,000.
