Not only that, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are "getting you used to the polygraph hook-up" when they ask you how willing you are to go all the way.

If you are still looking for that 60 minutes of fame, and a possible $25K+ paycheck without all the embarrassment of life-altering, personally-intrusive questions, may I suggest calling the folks at "Amnesia" for an audition?

I'm not looking for 60 minutes of fame - I've already been in a movie, and I don't want fame from a sleazy show - I basically just want some quick money, if possible.  If this show would be bad for my reputation, I certainly don't want to go through with it.  Since I didn't know anything about it at first, I thought it was going to be harmless.

I would be worried that they would ask me how willing I would be to go all the way while on polygraph.  I'm not sure I trust polygraphs anyway.  A friend in college signed up for an experiment to test polygraph machines, during which time he was required to lie, and the machine said he was telling the truth.

As for the application questions, they ask things like, Have you ever been arrested, why do you want to be on the show (I think they expect people just to want the money), what drugs have you taken, how many lovers have you had (and did you know all of their names), what surgeries have you had, etc.  They also ask about restraining orders and other problems with the law, such as evictions and a lot of things about married life.  And that's just the written application - I would expect the oral questions to be worse.  Anyway, I don't want to put my friends through this.  I don't really need the money - it would just be nice to have.  I would like to take a trip to Europe.

BTW, how do I contact the folks at "Amnesia"??? :)

Might I suggest Wheel of Fortune? Our own Steve McClellan could give you tips for an audition, and if you get on, you can definitely win a nice chunk of change as long as you stay focused.

And a guaranteed $1,000!

It would require a trip to NY, but also "Millionaire". If all else fails, maybe consider auditioning for the upcoming "Trivial Pursuit". Long story short, you sound like a well-rounded guy, and nowadays, there's plenty of game show options where you don't have to make an obnoxious fool out of yourself (D/ND) or air your dirty laundry.

Good luck!

I'm not allowed to go on Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy because my brother (who lives with me) works for Sony.
