Frank Centeno is Edd's bass player; one of the top New York session bassists for quite some time. He's filled in on SNL a few times, too for whoever was the incumbent bass player at the time (possibly Tom Wolk).

I think that piccolo part is from the parting gifts plug music from the Million Dollar Spectaculars.

The pictures were actually added December 6th - the date function in the gallery shows the day first, then the month.  As for the "piccolo and pencil" picture, we have yet to hear that particular version on air - but it looks like a variant of what's being used as the consolation cue on the daytime show.
