None yet.  Will probably have to wait until May again.

It does very well in its time slot, consistently winning the 8:00 hour. I'd be very surprised if NBC doesn't renew it, even for midseason.

Or sooner than that (maybe even summer).

After all, Denny Miller's track record hasn't been all that great lately, has it, cha cha?

(Over/under on how soon he calls a contestant "cha cha"--I say 25 minutes of the first show.)

I would say oK at best.  It is down significatly from last year(when NBC did not see that thrilled about renewing it.)   Yea it wins is timeslot but the competition is all reruns of Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, and Bones.

To add to that:  Isn't 1v100 against TPIR Friday night?  If 1v100 beats that, then you can lock up a renewal.  Doubt it'll happen, though.
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

And besides, Denny Miller and "Amne$ia" moves into "1v100"'s slot next week.

Looks like the answer is no.

NBC announced a fall schedule, and winter 2009 and summer 2009, yesterday.

1 v. 100 was not on any of them.   On the website, there is a list of shows picked up for next year.  1 v. 100 is not on it.

Also, missing(so assumed not returning) The Singing Bee, Amnesia, and My Dad is Better, although those were expected.

I'm in the minority on this, but good riddance to it.
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

Honestly...Endemol has put out a lot of tripe the last three years (traditional games, not the reality stuff or reality/game hybrids like "Dog Eat Dog"), but this was one show that I actually enjoyed watching week after week. I got a kick out of the contestant vs. mob rivalries, and the guest/theme mobs were actually kinda cute at times.

I'll miss this one.

A few things to remember about NBC's schedule...

1) NBC will change that "final" schedule after the other networks reveal their fall schedules in May.  The Peacock did that the last two years and I'm pretty sure it'll happen again.

2) There are a few shows NBC promoted a few weeks ago that cannot be found on this announced schedule.  For example, the planned U.S. version of "Top Gear".  There's a possibility that NBC may be holding "1 vs. 100" as a midseason replacement in case one of their fall premieres fails to click.

3) I'm also curious if Mandel or a top exec at DoND may balk at the potential of having to tape a twice-a-week nighttime version and a five-days-a-week daytime version.  We've heard the horror stories of the nighttime episodes taking 6-8 hours to tape.  The daytime version shouldn't be that bad (if, as been reported, most of the crazy stunts have been removed), but that still requires the taping of around 200 episodes.  If NBC agrees to permanently cut DoND to once a week, perhaps this could open Fridays at 8p to 1 vs. 100 or another game show.

Just my .02,

JD

One difference if you go to the website:

www.nbc.com/Primetime/index.shtml

Click on ALL SHOWS.   Top Gear is listed there 1 v. 100 is not.

However, I did say "it appears" becase I have not seen a source for a actual cancellation.

I see where you might get that but if you click on the 1 vs 100 link it doesn't take you anywhere.  Also if you end up looking down through the list it also doesn't list anything about needing more contestants.  I'm kind of thinking the show may have died not due to lack of contestants to be the one, but I would guess how hard it is to find contestants to be in the mob.  I would guess that unless if there's something I've failed to read or what not unless if your a person who just wants to get on TV being in that mob is a bit of a rip off.  Let's say the person walks with his cash and your on the mob you essentially get nothing besides just being on TV for how many possible hours.  That would be my guess, but quote only a guess.

When I made my original post back on April 3,they were still casting. Now the website took that link away.
