1980s LMAD returns to GSN
« on: May 16, 2008, 02:14:10 AM »
Per the PDF files of the GSN schedule on Steve Beverly's site, GSN is swapping out the 1970s run for the 1980s run on weekdays of Let's Make a Deal starting June 9th.  The weekend run of the 70s show will remain intact.

Based on the episodes numbers, the episode on the 6th *should* be the finale, so they probably decided to hold off on another cycle of the 70s episodes and instead run the 80s shows for a change.

I haven't seen the 80's shows in a long time.  The only way I caught them was via YouTube.  Starting June 9th, all that's gonna change.  I wouldn't mind seeing that one episode where the same prize(a car) was behind the same curtain/door(#1).

Awesome. I've only seen clips of the '84-'86 version on YouTube, so this should be a nice treat.

I wonder if they have access to both seasons or just 1984-85.

This is indeed great news.  Perhaps we'll see the episodes where Geoff Edwards filled in this time.

I know GSN aired one episode with Geoff when they had the series last time.

Sweeeeeeeeettttttttt!!! :D

I've been waiting for LMAD 84 to be shown regularly again for quite some time. It was part of my afternoon routine as a youngin, when it was on cable, and I enjoyed Monty and the crew immensely.

This GSN schedule, lately, is really appealing to me. One of the best in recent memory. Now if they only start showing some Pyramids again (25k purty plz too??).............

The stuff between 9 AM and 3 PM (and the 1 AM and 3 AM hours as well) is all pretty good, it's all the stuff in between that needs work.

He's been a member for over 2 years, so I'd say he's already here.

Seriously though, if it's The All-New LMAD (and it sounds like it is) then the Door 4 gimmick will show up
This signature is currently under construction.

I'll take shows like Russian Roulette, Friend or Foe, Millionaire, Lingo, Weakest Link, Karn Feud*, Whammy!, etc. over the crappy originals they gave us almost a decade ago.

GSN did air the whole week of Geoff Edwards subbing for Monty in 2004.  If GSN only got the 1st season then we will see Geoff again, but you will have to wait awhile for it.  Geoff subbed towards the end of the season.

Good to hear, as this is my favorite run of the show.  Unfortunately, I'm now torn between watching this or TPiR.
