Having grown up on a steady diet of exciting US game shows, it was a thrill for me to be in Montreal last month, taping the Québec version of the $20,000 Pyramid! My episode airs today (Monday) at 5:30 PM Eastern on Radio-Canada (in glorious HD, no less) and is rerun the next morning at 11:00 AM.
Winner's Circle rounds are worth $1,000 ($2,000 if you've won the first one and win the second WC), for a possible $3,000 per day. Winners get to play a maximum of 5 days.
To those who were disappointed by my 20-minute, $30-earning appearance on Paquet Voleur this spring, you'll be happily surprised. 'Nuff said. Oh, and I apparently gave a sound bite good enough to earn myself a spot on the latest batch of Pyramide commercials -- my parents called tonight to give me the good news. (I said "if game shows are a drug for players like me, then Pyramid is pure crack.")
And yes, I'm planning on saving Paquet Voleur and Pyramide to HD computer format, once my Macintosh-owning friend comes to visit...
