Good afternoon. I would like to know has any of the current and past TPIR models/Barkers beauties ever got the chance to spin the big wheel during the showcase showdown on some TPIR episodes since 1975?

Okay, I'll bite.

Why on Earth would they? And why, Gawd forbid he asked, would you think they would?

Answer : They wouldn't. You shouldn't.

I can answer that. Claudia reaching up, then pulling the wheel wayyy down to the ground. And if she wheelies? Frickin' giggity. :)

/Yes, I'm a teenager. Can you tell?

Yes. One incident in fact happened on June 31, 1985. It was a debacle beyond belief...one got sucked under the wheel, and the rest didn't get it all the way around, so it didn't count and they didn't get to spin again.

Oh, you don't have to be a teenager to appreciate that. :)

If Dian was doing the spinning, it might have been Barker who got sucked under the wheel.

I remember this episode--the only one from the entire run where they ran out of time before the showcase because someone took too long in 3 strikes. So, the next show began with the showcase showdown and a returning champion.

May I have everyone's attention please. I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm regarding the only returning champion in the history of Barker TPiR...but the show began with the Showcase, not the Showcase Showdown. I emailed Bob Barker, and he admitted to this historic moment.

But first he had to E-mail the Dobber to confirm whether this historic moment had ever taken place before.

Say "hi" to Bob for me, and tell him his trees look great.

I have met the Bobber several times, but no way in Hades would he remember me.

The first was in 1975 after they finished taping the one-hour "test" shows. He wouldn't remember me from that.

The next was in 1978 at the G-T Xmas party. He wouldn't remember me from that, either. I also met Dorothy Jo, Allen and Betty, Patti Deutsch and Bill Daly.

He once came to CNN in the '80s to be interviewed about animal rights, coincidentally in the same building that housed G-T's offices. He wouldn't remember that.

Seeing him in the studio or at the Congreff don't count as face-to-face meetings.

In December I drove by as he was having his trees trimmed. I should have waved. I doubt he'd remember that, either.

I have never met Edd Kalehoff, but I have met (but not worked with) Jay Wolpert. Never met Bob Bach or either of the Todman brothers. Have spoken to Bill Egan. Have met Billy Todman (Jr.). Once lent a supporting arm to Bill Cullen as he was ascending the steps on the P+ set.

OK, enough.

I don't really want to know what's on Barker's computer.

Nor do I ever want to open an e-mail from Bob.

It's odd...Ed was coming to your door giving money. Now, he's coming to your door begging for it.

Circle of life and all that.
