Password or Pyramid?

A slightly perplexing question:

Which game would you rather play, Password or Pyramid?  And you can have any version, too.

It's a tough decision for me, but I'd want to be on classic Password (1960's).  A completely pure game on its own merit.

I like both shows equally. Both are, IMO, the best word-association games of all time to feature celebrities, and IMO, were at their best in the 1980's.

I'd also go for the 60s classic version of Password.  I do enjoy all of the other incarnations, including the current one.  But the charm of the original has never been surpassed.

For me, it's Pyramid.  I was a contestant on June 20, 1978, exactly thirty years ago last week.

If money was not a factor, I'd rather play the classic Password.  But obviously, the potential for winning a lot more money is available to you with any version Pyramid.

I'll take the Super Password/Pyramid hour... Super Password front game, Pyramid end game-and I'm giving the clues.

Oh wait, wrong game.
I would say Password, I guess because it's more of a challenge. But Pyramid obviously was great in it's own right.

As a contestant, I'd have to go primarily by how much I could expect to win. MDP, no contest. As a celeb, I'd base it on my enjoyment of the game and format. If I were good enough for them to book me in Tournament weeks, I'd choose $100KP. Otherwise, I'd choose Super Password.

Sid Hoffffffrenchman. Sorry, you lose again.

I'd pick Pyramid, because I think my cluegiving ability would be better used there. (I talk too much, what can I say?)
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

For the simpleness of the game, it has to be the original CBS Password.  It's not just giving one-word clues, it's trying to come up with good clues that can be a challenge.  Pyramid is OK but sometimes, I might tend to get a bit too descriptive if I give the clues.  So, Password it is.

That's tough, but while I really appreciate the game-playing skill involved in finding perfect Password clues, I think the Winner's Circle would just be so much more exciting. So Pyramid for me.

As big of a Password fan as I am, the existence of a game like Pyramid is about as close as I'll ever come to acknowledging evidence of a benevolent God. There's just no question.

I would give almost anything to go back in time and play $100K Pyramid with Dick Clark standing next to me.
