I guess it depends though, what you define as

more for the love of game shows than any other website.
Again, there's not much meat to his site if you take away his blog, or whatever you want to call it.  The folks above have or had quite a bit of information on their websites, all without trying to come across as "insiders".  As I don't visit Steve's site at all, and I regularly visit the websites above, I'm not sensing this "void" that Matt alluded too.

I'd lay 3-to-1 it's Zach, just trying to draw attention to himself.
Typically, you can't have a lay that pays out more to the dollar.  I, however, am willing to lay 1-to-3 that it is not Zach.  I suspect that I'll make out pretty well.

Zach wasn't nearly that humble. While I understand what you're saying, I'm pretty sure he would've gone out of his way trying to promote his site, either on this board and/or ATGS.

Back in the ATGS era, someone decided, as a "prank" to make phony "online greeting cards", then when you scroll to the bottom of the page, you get a screenshot of Zach when he appeared on Millionaire.

And how many of these did regular, even semi-weekly news updates? (NEWS. Not information-repository stuff. NEWS.) Near as I can tell, only Klauss. And with all respect to Mike, he quit when he realized pretty quickly what a pain in the ass it was.

Thing is, you could say that about any reporter, journalist, historian or biographer. Anybody who writes about anything that they're not directly involved in, and that's a lot of writers.
Steve Beverly is not a primary source. Never has been, never will be, but people treat him as such. If you're doing a piece on Match Game, do you call Ira Skutch (he's listed) or do you call on the Perf?
In this day and age? I call both, and then wait to see who calls me back first.

/You know that answer.
Let's assume you could get either one on the phone instantly.

If the question were "What was Gene Rayburn like?" or "What constitutes a good Match Game question", I know who I'd want to hear it from.

It didn't help when a bunch of volunteers opted not to help me.  And losing my job around that time period didn't help matters either.  Would I do it again?  Hell.  No.

Gotta give a shoutout to Chris Lambert, because waaaay back in the day (mid-90's, 1995 or 1996) I remember memorizing his ridiculously long G$P address so I could bring it up on one of the two or three computers that had 'net access at our school...just to see that the MG pilot didn't get picked up, etc. And to marvel at the amazing amount of game shows on tape that he had, gasp!

But Chris, to his credit, didn't keep up with it, because it is a hard and monotonous thing to do. And the Perf does deserve praise for mostly staying with it for this long. I stopped reading his site long ago because it just got a little too much for reasons mentioned elsewhere.

The Perf deserves all props and kudos for being ambitious with his web site. It looks slick and is chock full of content, and he has kept it going for years. His reportorial skills, well, we won't go there.

I'll cross you off the list of possible alternate executive producers for the Game Show Forum. Not that we had such a list, but still.

It is a testament to our lack of common sense and lackluster personal lives that the three of us have kept this operation going for as long as we have and that we still have an operation we can take pride in.

Upon hearing about Perf's departure, TheLastResort issued this statement:

"Mere words cannot describe my indifference to this news.  I have enjoyed not visiting Beverly's web site for so long, I'm not sure how I'll go on.  I suppose I'll just have to find another web site to not visit."

Absolutely on all counts. No knock on you was intended, and I hope one was not implied.

None implied.  It's all cool.
