Um, the PC game is already out, and the other three platforms have already been announced here. This isn't news.

Oh...um, nevermind.

When I went to the Amazon page for the game, it said it wasn't being released until 9/9 and people on other gaming sites seemed surprised by the announcements. When did the PC/Mac game come out? I can't find it (other than the listing for the 9/9 date).

I guess the news then would be the new website (with contest) built for the game and the fact that Ubisoft announced the game.

Truthfully, I don't see the home console versions of the game being any different from the downloadable version that exists now for home computers that I already enjoy.  Unless the Wii version offers more pricing games and a bit more interactivity (perhaps even the ability to bring in one's Mii), I'm not going to waste my time on it.  For the DS version, I can see that also mirroring the PC version exactly with the touchscreen interface (Check Game could work well on DS), but with no actual video of prizes and no Rich Fields V.O.'s due to the limited storage on the DS game chips.

That's probably for the retail version. We've had the PC version since June at:

Ubisoft announced a ship date. It's been well-known that they were publishing the console versions for a while.

I would be willing to bet cash money that you are correct. At BEST any motion controls for the Wii version will be pasted-on crap.

You won't see video, at least not of prizes, but I don't think it's outside of the realm of possibility for there to be VO. Audio compresses *wonderfully.*

I strongly suspect neither the Wii or DS versions will feature downloadable content, though, while I think it's very possible that the XBLA one will.

There's a DVD-media retail version also coming out at the same time the Wii and DS ones are (9/9).

When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

DS will have less games then PC & Wii.  There will be no Miis.
They've completed DS and Wii, but need to send it to Nintendo and ESRB for testing.

They're only 2D.

Give them a break. They're new.

I can confirm plinko and cliffhanger will be in the DS.

These facts are from Ludia themselves.
