In Huntsville, AL, both DOND and TP:AP will be on the local CW affiliate (WHDF-15).  This can't be a good sign.

Just what are you expecting, Wheel and J! affiliates to roll over and play dead for two unproved in syndication newcomers?

Wow...WHP or WLYH picks up another game show.  I guess Fox43 is getting sick of burned by clunkers.

Originally Fox43 had an hour of Temptation and an hour of Crosswords....It didn't take them long to replace the first episode of Temptation with an infomercial...

In Atlanta...

TP: America Plays will air on WPCH (Peachtree TV -- what used to be the local signal for TBS.  Now, it's an indy station that primary airs sitcom reruns, movies, Braves games and the occassional "reality" show) from 1-2p ET.  The channel did air Temptation from 10-11a, but recently cut it down to one episode, replacing the second broadcast with, of all things, "Diff'rent Strokes".

Daytime DoND will air on WXIA (NBC) at 4p (replacing WWTBAM, which was double running from 4-5p).  Presumably, WWTBAM continues at 4:30p, although that hasn't been confirmed.  Show will run opposite "Oprah" and "Judge Judy" in Atlanta.

DoND will also air on WXIA's sister station, WATL (MyNet), at 6:30p, creating a 90-minute game show block with WOF (7p) and J! (7:30p) for the Gannett station.  This replaces "According to Jim" reruns.  DoND will run against local news on WSB (ABC) and WAGA (Fox), and network news on WXIA and WGCL (CBS).

Family Feud: Should still be airing from 1-2p on WATL

Not sure what WXIA plans to do with its 12:30p slot, which was home to Crosswords.

This is actually really interesting that WHP and WLYH are airing the same shows in different time slots. Even though they are LMAed, this isn't a practice they've done before.

Both stations are at the bottom of the barrel, ratings-wise and otherwise, so maybe it's just throwing darts at a board to see what works.

/a board about the TV situation in the HLLY market could prosper, couldn't it?

According to TP:AP's website, the show is airingin Seattle on believe it or not: KIRO 7 at 9AM. From what I can remember KIRO doesn't usually like to pick up syndicated game shows, the last one they aired was I believe John O'Hurley's To Tell The Truth in 2000 and I believe they aired it at some ungodly hour in the middle of the night. One thing comes to mind on this: why didn't KCPQ/KMYQ pick it up? for the past few years they've picked up most of the Tribune/Debmar-Mercury shows including Family Feud and Temptation. Kind of weird that they would pick this up, but I guess i'll take whatever I can get

Odd that out of all the markets listed, Grand Junction (Western Colorado) has NO affiliate listed...yet.

Even if someone did pick it up, the early-prime time period looks to be locked up.  Only the 5PM slot where Crosswords airs on KFQX/FOX-4 is viable, but they may simulcast the new FOX-31 Denver newscast @ 5:30 (up to now, KDVR/FOX-31 in Denver had no early evening newscast -- just 5-10am "Good Morning Colorado"  and the 10pm news), and move Scrubs up to the top of the hour.

KKCO/NBC-11 has the J!/Wheel fortress and KJCT/ABC News 8 has a 6pm newscast with Entertainment Tonight leading into prime. And that will not change for another decade or so.

And over on sister station KREX/Newschannel 5, there has been talk of doing a 6PM newscast, in addition to their 5PM, which would knock out half of the Millionaire double run.

And since the station burn-down in January, the local MyNetwork 27/KGJT has been simulcasting the KREX/CBS feed exclusively, with the exception of the Sunday Colorado Rockies baseball games.  They just don't have enough temporary space & equipment to run My27 100% independently until they have their new building in 2009.  So that option is moot.

This is also the most number of game shows (5) that WHP has had concurrently as far back as I can remember (at least since I moved here in 1995)

Chicago Reporting in...

Weekdays at noon on NBC 5, which leads me to believe that they will use the Martha Stewart Show to replace Crosswords at 2pm.
Then WMAQ was not suckered into Daytime Plus.

I noticed that despite everything, Program Partners still has 180 stations for "Family Court with Judge Penny" this fall--but I'm really wondering how many stations are going to want to go for Marie Osmond in September 2009 unless Ritch Colbert can pledge to them that he won't sell renewals and then pull out and change plans at the last minute.
I think that Bonnie Hunt Program will be aired in place of Crosswords at 2pm. So its either late night for the Daytime Plus, or we can say good-bye (and for some, good riddance).

That is very surprising, I was also surprised when I read that. I've always said that I thought KIRO was actually "Anti-Game Show." Back in the '80s, they never aired CBS' network game shows except for TPIR and for a brief period The $25K Pyramid (CBS game shows DID air in Seattle, but on KCPQ). KIRO is under different ownership now though. KOMO it seems was always the big game show station, but I guess after Pyramid and Millionaire they decided not to pick up anymore.

Now I live in Phoenix though, and speaking of which, it appears Trivial Pursuit will be taking over Merv Griffin's Crosswords old slot at 10 am on KTVK channel 3.

Re: Crosswords.  Let's face facts.  Colbert is releasing the stations from the committment to this show and offering ITB as a courtesy.  There's no station in the country for which MGC is a necessity or even a mild ratings draw and this action is not gonna sour a station from doing business with PP.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Understood, but when PP decides to shoot new eps. of "Crosswords", what do they do with stations who have filled the timeslot with new programming (in WAVY's case, Bonnie Hunt). PP says they plan to start new eps. in winter-09; is it better to just wait until September 2009?

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!

I would be shocked if they actually start shooting in Winter '09, if ever.
