Temptation sacked for The Doctors at 12 (that's a TALK SHOW!?)

Well, yeah, 'cause who wants to watch an old soap opera anyway? ;)

Deal or no Deal: 7:00 PM on KPTV 12 (FOX)
Crosswords: 1:30 PM on KGW 8 (NBC), moved from 1:00 PM
Jeopardy: 7 PM on KATU
Wheel: 7:30 PM on KATU

Ah, the memories.
[Last show. Beginning Monday, "The $25,000 Pyramid" returns here.]
[Last show. Beginning Monday, "Child's Play" premieres here.]

Indeed. Then came this dark day:
2:30 BREAK THE BANK-Game
Last show of the series. Beginning Monday, because Fred Silverman is
fat wad of particulate matter, One Life To Live airs here for 45 minutes
followed by a 45-minute edition of General Hospital. Ratings be hanged.
Freddy wants sudsers and sudsers he shall have, the merciless peasant.

Ch-ch-changes reflected int his post as of Sep. 7:

Looks like in Indy, WNDY (My-23) is gamesville. One ep of Feud at 3 (previously two eps at 4 on sister CBS-8; timeslot goes to The Doctors), TP:AP at 3:30, and DOND at 7.

Millionaire stays for its noon hour on FOX-59 and WOF/J! stay in the 7 PM hour on NBC-13.

CW-4 replaces its noon hour of Temp and MGC with Judge Karen. With a smile, no doubt.

From the lands of the Western Reserve, Cleveland's listings read thusly:
* Scoop Brady's Trivial Pursuit @ 10:30am on WOIO-19 replacing Temptation
followed by The Price Is Right with all its dastardly changes
* Who Wants To Be A Millionaire @ 7pm on WOIO-19
* Deal Or No Deal @ 7:30pm on WOIO-19
* Wheel Of Fortune @ 7pm on WEWS-5 (as has been the case since 1983)
* Jeopardy! @ 7:30pm on WEWS-5 (as has been the case since 1984)

The show's site says KPTV at a tba time. It doesn't premiere until the 22nd, so you might wanna check the online listings starting next week...

[quote name=\'Jumpondees\' post=\'195389\' date=\'Aug 28 2008, 05:52 AM\']Figure this way, I think WPXI was double running Feud with Millionaire inbetween before Crosswords came along, I guess they are going back to something that worked well for them (according to Zap2It 12:30-2pm is Feud/Millionaire/Feud as of 9/8) instead of replacing an epic fail of a show with one that may fall flat on it's face within 6 months.

It will also be interesting to see what D/ND does on WPGH @ 5pm up against all three local newscasts
[/quote]
Yup, they're going back to the Feud Sandwich, but I thought it was cool that within 7 1/2 hours, you had 5 different game shows.  (6 in 8.5 if you count nights with DoND)

Also, anything to keep me away from KDKA's 3-hour evening newscast is a plus, so it may not be that bad.

/I'd laugh if KDKA and WPXI switched affiliates.
//7 hours of local news+4 hours of Today would equal 1 unwatchable network
This signature is currently under construction.

Interesting...

Syndie DoND's official site says it will air in my market (Providence/New Bedford) at 4:30pm on WNAC (FOX 64).
The Trivial Pursuit: America Plays website (www.tpamericaplays.com) says that it will air in my market at 4:30pm on WNAC (FOX 64).

I wonder which of these is truthful...or might it be a case of DoND premiering in the slot then moving once TP premiers?

I've been seeing Feud air in a double run recently, at 9AM and oddly enough 2:05AM or whereabouts (!). It's really weird because 9:30 IIRC is paid programming.

KGW does the same thing (Crosswords, then Paid programming). Not to take this too off-topic, but is there a reason why station managers do this?

We get this with Family Feud in my area.  The 10am hour is Feud/Paid Programming while the 2pm hour is Paid Programming/Feud.

Just checked the TS site:

Final syndie game show schedule for Huntsville, AL:

10:00AM
Trivial Pursuit: America Plays (double run) - WHDF-CW-15/14 (new show, runs against The Price is Right)

11:00AM
Family Feud (double run) - WHDF (same time, new station - moves from WAFF)

12:00PM
Deal or No Deal (double run) - WHDF (new show)

12:30PM
Jeopardy! - WAFF-NBC-48/49

6:30PM
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - WHNT-CBS-19/59
Wheel of Fortune - WAFF

As before, WAAY-ABC-31/32 and WZDX-Fox-54/41 are game show-less, as will be WZDX/DT2-MyNetworkTV-41.2 (branded "WAMY My8") when Temptation is put out of its misery shortly.

The moral of my story is...always read the schedules before you post... :)

Here's the rundown of the Chicagoland Game Show Schedule...

10am - The Price is Right (CBS)
Noon - Daytime Deal or No Deal (NBC 5, pretty sure it's double run)
2pm - Family Feud (My 50 Chicago, dual run)
3pm - TP: AP (My 50 Chicago, dual run)
3:30 pm - Jeopardy (ABC 7)
5pm - Millionaire (WGN)
6:30 pm - [Million Dollar] Wheel of Fortune (ABC 7)

TP: AP goes head to head with Ellen (all hour long) and Jepoardy (second half). Good luck trying to grab my attention.

Crosswords is dashed in favor of Bonnie Hunt. No big loss there.

Temptation goes the way of Old Yeller. Fine by me.

Thanks for the spoiler space......not.
That's another film that can go back to NetFlix.
Is anyone getting WOF and J! on different channels this season?
After all these years with ratings still being good, I wonder if anyone's dumping the tandem.

Feud stays at 10.  (poor TPIR gets a Bonnie Hunt lead in my area.)

Could always be worse...out here, TPiR had an hour of infomercials for a lead-in for the last few years before they finally wised up and put an hour of their morning news guys there instead.
