I was expelled from college for the third and final time in 1989.
Speaking of syndie DOND, Stosh and Stu (henceforth, The ST Boyz) were talking about how players who eliminate the high amounts early will have their game play edited from broadcast and be awarded $500. This discussion took place on Stu's Show two Wednesdays ago.

Buzzerblog and Hollywood Junket had this a couple weeks ago as an isolated incident on a couples' week taping.  The two blew through all the high amounts, to a point where $500 was the big number on the board, so tape was stopped, and they were sent on their merry way with the high amount on the board.  Doesn't make the practice any more savory or defensible, but it seems to be more of an "occurrence" than the hard-and-fast "rule" the Perf would make it out to be.

I know there have been episode(s) cut from the syndie version, but I didn't know that there was a standard operating procedure for it.

The (Best of) Syndie DoND will air on WPGH (FOX) in the Pittsburgh-New Castle area.  Not sure about Trivial Pursuit, but it probably won't be on KDKA (CBS) or WTAE (ABC).  WPXI (NBC) has been showing MGC, so I don't know if they're getting the Program Partners Package or continuing to air Montel.

/KDKA has 7(!!!) hours of local news/magainze per weekday

And that's where WDCA-20 (a MyNet affiliate) will be showing it in D.C. Right now, the big 4 DC stations are doing local news at that time and both 20 and WDCW-50 (CW) are showing court shows.

The only other certainty about DC syndie shows is that WJLA-7 (ABC) has snagged Millionaire from the 4:00 slot on WUSA-9 (CBS) and will bump Crosswords to make room for it at 12:30 p.m.

"Trivial Pursuit" could be on either WFLD or WPWR--the Fox-owned stations have bought it.
According to the guys who did the America Plays taping at Northbrook, they mentioned it was WPWR, My50, or whatever the hell we call it up here.

/what the hell game shows were on that station back in '89?
//I was only 4 at the time, btw.

In that rough time frame, Clark "$100K Pyramid," Raferty "Card Sharks" (two years after the rest of the nation!), "Matchmaker" and a fourth show I don't remember right now.  In prime time.

I'm now guessing that "TP" will replace "Temptation" at 1 p.m.  Lots of love, Rossi.

Well, Charmin is a lot more entertaining than "Temptation" ever was...

Columbus, OH: WSYX Channel 6 will carry DOND
Channel 6 is carrying a syndicated game? When was the last time they did that?
The last I remember was Pictionary and they ran that at 1:30am for a few months before moving it to 2:30am.
They air WWTBAM at 7:30 weeknights, have for some time now.

Can't say how much distribution Syndeal will get up here in Canada, but NTV ("Canada's Superstation") has already been showing ads for it, promoting a fall launch at the plum time of 5.30 pm.  This is due to speculation that CBC will run Wheel as a lead-in to supper hour news casts nationally, and J! as a lead in to the prime-time hours.

Ryan :)

/NTV isn't pleased right now; they've shunted Wheel and J! out of their 5-6 pm block to 4-5 am.
//This is the same NTV that used to run J!-H2-Wheel in a 90 min block when I was living there in '04
///But NTV wins points for being over the air on channel six; I used to walk home and listen to J! and H2.
