I think it's absolutely worth eight bucks. The one *slightly* annoying thing is that the puzzles aren't assembled as single panels - I think they've coded in a bunch of images to use as phonics, and the puzzles are coded phonetically and assembled dynamically. So if that doesn't bother you, it's a really good implementation.
