I'm back guys! Well, I went to two tapings, but I was stuck in the audience throughout. At least I got Bob Barker's attention. Yes, I got his autograph signed on the back of my shirt, then some autographed photos of Bob. Although I didn't make it to contestants' row, It was still an experience to me! I have some pictures of me in front of Television City.

Glad to hear that you had a great time!  As I posted earlier this week, the episode which I saw this past summer aired on Thursday.

I too got Bob's attention: during the Q&A period I was the first one to ask a question.

When will your shows air?

Cheers,

Ryan :)

November 24 and 26. Find me in a gray shirt with some artwork, and either blue hat or red TPIR hat.

I checked my calendar in Windows, and that is a Monday and Wednesday. Did you happen to be late in the line for Tuesday's show? Just curious.

Actually, there are 2 tapings on Monday...1:15 PM is for the Monday's show and the 4:30 PM is the Tuesday's show AND you can have 1 ticket per day.  See exception...

Tuesday's taping is the Wednesday's show
Wednesday's taping is the Thursday's show
Thursday's taping is the Friday's show
There is no Friday's taping

Exception: If the 2nd show is not a sell out, the announcer will annouce that there are a few seats left for the 2nd show.  So, you might see few people in the audience wearing the same clothes.

Clear?

Did you enjoy your sleep-in time? (LOL).  I was up 3 and in line by 3.30 am.  Very tiring, but the end result was worth it, getting to see the show.

Cheers,

Ryan :)

Nice picture.

Ah.....Memories. When we were there in May (Randy's first show), we got in line at Midnight. Yes, Midnight. By 4:30am there were 200 people in line. That was try #5 for us. Although I have never been picked, waiting since Midnight was well worth it. It guaranteed us front row seats and the surprise bonus of Randy's debut as announcer extraordinaire. I had no idea and it was a pleasant surprise.

Oh, and yes, there were people already in line at Midnight. :-)

Every time I hear these stories I almost feel guilty for the time I arrived at 4:15 PM for the 4:30 taping. Pages rushed name tags out for my girlfriend and I, then gave us two of those portable seats for the back stage. The bright side was that at least we made it in without having to wait in line all day. I don't advise that anyone actually try this method. I was the luckiest person on Earth that day.

How strange of you to mention 11/24 & 11/26!  We wound up seeing the taping for the 11/25 show!

We got to CBS on 9/22 @ 5:30 for the 1st Monday taping, and by the time we got our numbers we were #75-76 in the stand-by category (quite a few people who lined up were people who also camped out for the Emmy's red carpet the day before).

So instead, we went & got tickets for the Wednesday taping, and were about 54th or 55th in line, after getting there about 4:45.  Look for the couple in matching 'just married' shirts in dead center of the audience.

For those of you who haven't been to CBS in a coupla years or so, the area just south of TV city has changed a lot, due to the addition of 'The Grove' and the bank building which sits on what used to be the free TPIR parking lot at Farmer's Market.  Now you either have to pay to park at the Market/Grove area, or hope you can get shoehorned into CBS' west lot.

Nonetheless, it's definitely the Mecca for true game show fans!
