Now c'mon. How many of you has done this many time over?

It's the bonus round, end game, "Grand Jackpot Game" . And you see the contestant do well, then hits a heavy speed bump that sends the player doing very poorly, or was doing poorly to begin with. Getting peeved you're probably like, "screw this" and change the channel as time is running out.

I've done this many of times, while watching shows like Trivial Pursuit, Double Dare,Where in the World/Time is Carmen Sandiego.  How about you?

Honestly, speed rounds are something I can always watch from beginning to end. Even if it's epic failure, it will be over soon. The closest I've come is Legends of the Hidden Temple, where the bonus round is three minutes, and it's taken the kid a minute to get through two rooms. But I still watch. It takes drawn out un-speed games like DoND to get me to lose my patience.

It's interesting that not only I've done it with Temple, but Nick DD quite alot.  That always ticked off my mom.  Fourtunately, I was able to switch over to the Weather Channel just to kill a few seconds before the next show.   When the clock hits 0 & the buzzer sounds, that's my cue to switch over to something else.

Oddly enough, I did that just last night while watching the Supermarket Sweep episode recently linked to on the Clips subforum.  Apologies if I'm spoiling, but the sweep winners get stymied on one item, where they deduce the brand name, but couldn't figure out the type of product they needed to find.  Rather than watch them flail for twenty seconds, I went to the kitchen for a beverage.

Don't worry.  When the Cubs lose in September and/or October, it will be a century.
