Food Network is combining Amazing Race with competitive eating to come up with a show for early next year that is, for now, going to be called Eat the Clock.

This sounds like it could be a less-intense ripoff of "Hurl," but I won't prejudge.

I can't believe the network that gives us Alton Brown and Giada DeLaurentiis is planning on airing this. However, I can believe the network that gives us Sandra Lee and The Neelys is planning on airing this.

I dunno...At the Clock sounds pretty lame...

You know, back in January or so, I was in 7-11 with a friend of mine, and on the magazine aisle, I noticed what I thought was The Joker on the cover of Redbook. We (along with another customer) lol'd.

Remembers when "Eat The Clock" was just a typo in a TV Guide. One version ended up on "Real People".

If I was in charge of Food Network, I would give the entire schedule over to Alton Brown. (As well as changing the name to "The Alton Brown Network")
