Wheel and Jeopardy Preemptions

Just a heads up If you get Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! on a CBS Affiliate like I do from 5:00pm-8:00pm, get ready for a preemption. The season premieres of both shows will be preempted by the Men's Finals of the U.S Open.

I don't watch Tennis, but isn't this stuff supposed to be over with by now? I know I have never seen Wheel and Jeopardy! preempted by the finals before.

Welp, that kills Harrisburg. WHP is our WoF and J! home. Oh well - it will be on tomorrow! Life goes on, the sun will still come up tomorrow morning.

Wow, my station BUMPED the coverage to their digital-only tier.  That's a shocker.

Fortunately for Milwaukee, the owners of the CBS affiliate (WDJT) also own an independent affiliate (WMLW), so the US Open is on WMLW.

I think that's always been the case this year for tennis in Milwaukee.

Here in Lexington the CBS affiliate has pushed the final over to their digital subchannel-based CW station.

And in Indy, the tennis bounces to My-23. Proof that nobody messes with the local newscasts.

Cincinnati: CinCW gats the tennis instead of WKRC.

No Millionaire or Deal or No Deal in Cleveland tonight, unless WOIO airs it after hours.

Are you new to the board?  You're supposed to start ranting, whining, and threatening your CBS affiliate because how dare they preempt your shows!!!!! ;-)

WUSA-9 in DC and WJZ-13 in Baltimore both have the tennis on their regular signals.

Cleveland correction:  WOIO is showing tennis coverage on WOIO-DT 19.2, their Weather Now channel.  It's programming as usual on WOIO's regular feed.  Shocked and amazed, I am.

I thought FOX-59 had their partnership with My-23...not WISH.  More I know...

I have a feeling if the game goes epic 5-set, it'll get bumped here again, as they don't screw with their repeat of Phil and Oprah in prime on that station.

If Federer finishes this butt-whoopin' fairly quickly, I might be good to go for 7 and 7:30, provided there's no post-game analysis.

I was wondering with the forthcoming changes to all digital channels and sub-channels, if this will mean that there will be less pre-emptions of locally-programmed/syndicated shows.  Looks like that will be the case.

Now if the networks would allow their stations to air all of their NFL game offerings through sub-channels so I can determine what game to watch, then DirecTV can take their Sunday Ticket and...<BLANK>

/Just tired of seeing Arizona Cardinals games when there are better teams out there.
