(This post is intentionally vague for those who haven't seen it.)

On last night's How I Met Your Mother, Regis helps the crew find the best burger in NYC.  When the gang thinks they found it, Barney texts Regis while he's taping his game show.

The Game

The link to the show, starts about 10:30 in.

/I lol'd.

I stopped watching the series some time ago but decided to watch this one, and loved the storyline.  Only thing is, I'd have also loved to see the full end credits.

I remember Carson Daly doing a similar sketch right after D/ND premiered, and for the first time in that show's history, I lol'd. Still a good gag, and cool to see Regis have a good enough sense of humor to mock his big money game hosting abilities.

I'd love to know whether they hired an outside designer with contemporary game show experience, because the set and (especially) the logo were wonderfully, goofily authentic.  That's not always the case when sitcoms create fictional game shows.

Double Dip.

Seriously, I enjoyed the ep., even with all of the subtle sight gags (Regis' same mug shot on every restaurant wall was classic, as well as the Goliath National Bank logo at the end instead of the production company's.

Only Regis could/would host a show that inane and make it a top 10 Nielsen hit.

/I have loved HIMYM since episode one.

I saw this episode the other night...I got a laugh out of the whole game show angle.

And I gotta agree...well played on whoever decided to have Regis riff on his big money shows?

(Although I wouldn't be surprised if some game show producer- probably on Fox- was crazy enough to put a million dollars on the line on a coin toss...but I don't think this guy would like that very much...:))
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

That was more my reasoning.  I originally put "Ask a Statistician", but I figured, if we have the best in the business...
