The Perf reports in his Daily E-Mail that GSN is bringing back the B&W Nighttime version of Password with Allen Ludden. It will take The Name's The Same slot at 3:30am starting on November 30th.

Awesomeness.
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

So does anyone know when we hit the Dennis James episodes of The Name's the Same?  'Cause if the schedule's changing that soon, I have to assume we're about there.

They actually hit a couple of nights ago.  First one was early Thursday morning.

I've been maintaining this, and should have it updated over the weekend.

By my reckoning, if they'd waited just one more night, they would've finished the run of TNTS.

The way I count it, if Steve and the OP are accurate by saying "3:30am starting on November 30th", then they'll actually skip the last TWO episodes they have.  Either way, it seems kinda silly to come so close and not finish the run.  Up until now, they've only skipped one show in their archive, the one from earlier this month when they aired a Paul Newman tribute instead.

  • Just leave the set; that’d be terrific.

I'm a little disappointed myself--when was the last time they aired the vintage TTTT episodes?

If their statement is factually accurate, then you're right. If instead it is an accurate relaying of GSN's own words, then I'm right.

Given those two choices, smart money's on you then.

Steve is now saying that To Tell The Truth, not Password, will start airing in the overnight slot after The Name's The Same finished its run there.  In addition, he's also changed the date to December 2nd, meaning that TNTS will indeed complete its run in full (which only makes sense) before ceding its time slot.

I'm glad to hear TNTS will complete itself, but I wish it was Password coming. I've just personally never found Truth that compelling.

The play-along factor is certainly less.

I always thought the play along was stronger on TTTT.  On Password, WML and IGAS, the home audience was shown the password/job/secret.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.
