Bumping up this thread to announce that the host will be Chuck Woolery, per cynopsis.net.

Alex Davis, I just got the preview copy of this special today from the network. Do you have it already?

Moreso, how do you, of all people get special GSN stuff?
(I call shenanigans)

Last May, during my Game Show Kingdom's second season, I got a phone call from Cindy Ronzoni that GSN would be providing PR stuff to my house. That didn't really start until the 10th of October.

Hey, if James Guckert managed to weasel into the White House Press Corps, anything's possible.  Something tells me the chuckleheads at GSN aren't exactly the most discerning bunch.

Far as I can tell, they don't have any particular need to be discerning.  If website owners want to disseminate their information, then why not provide such information to be disseminated.  I think the only reason more people don't have access to the GSN publicity materials is because more people haven't asked.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

I guess I'm more used to the old school King World method of new media relations (see also: Shuster, Marci).

Poor Ben Schumin... she drove him mental, you know.

Gotta love the lame "MMMEEEEOOWWWWW" from Chuck on the ads. You can tell he really wants to get that lame show over with and forget about it.

The NY Times rips the show apart (although the critic admits up front that he hates cats):

Would you have expected otherwise?

This honestly comes off as an Extreme Gong-era misbegotten idea, or perhaps National Lampoon's Greek Games in a more recent vein. If they wanted to keep Chuck on, they should have just renewed Lingo...
