It'll be back by February. Just wait.

I really enjoyed the show when it started a few Christmases ago, but the obsessive need to get a millionaire really ruined the show for me. More than the pacing or the gimmicks ever did.

It'll go, only to return after what NBC replaces it with turns out to be something much crappier making primetime Deal seem like a gift from heaven.

Most of the sites reporting this are only saying that it's on hiatus. And that is what I believe.

It's also quite a misnomer to title this thread "Primetime Deal coming to an end".

The first thought that popped in my head after reading the headline to this thread was, "Who the heck cares?"

I think this certainly fits the requirements for "something much crappier" -- and worse yet, Howie's hosting it.

I recently saw the first promo for "Howie, Do It" which is little more than Mr. Mandel taking the premise of his frequent Tonight Show "bits" and expanding it to an hour-long series.  Howie goes undercover in disguise and performs disgusting things a la Candid Camera, eventually revealing himself to (hopefully) laughing victims.

Will it work -- I doubt it.  Will it last -- I hope not, but that depends on how desperate NBC is to get viewers.
