From the Wisconsin State Journal's "77 Square" publication

They particularly mention "Password" and its Wisconsin-born host, but some other GS DVD sets get mentioned as well.

I also spotted mention of the LMAD documentary "Deal"----silly question, but isn't that long out of publication?

There are three things I've learned never to discuss with people: Religion, politics, and the proper wrapping of microphone cables.

If you check http://www.millcreekent.com you'll find some info on a game show/kid's show box set they are scheduled to put out early in 2009.  Sounds like all the public domain finds in one place.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Hey, even padded with some of the kids shows, 50 episodes in one $15 set sounds too good to pass up.  Even though a lot of the stuff is probably the same things we've seen in other public domain collections, there's always a chance of a "new" show or two.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

Something I've wondered for awhile: when any given episode of a show hits "public domain," that has something to do with the age of the show, right? 50 years or something?

If it's 50 years, does that mean that Match Game 73 will be in public domain in 2023?

It's a lot more complicated, and in most cases, a lot more than fifty years.

Best as I can tell, something like Match Game '7X, since it was 'first published' between 1964 and 1977, would be protected for a total of 95 years.  That's an original 28-year window and an automatic extension of 67 years.

Continuing with best-as-I-can-tell, television programs that fall into 'public domain' would include anything made before 1964 that ALSO didn't have its original 28-year copyright term renewed.  However, again, it's complicated.

Ding Dong School absolutely ruled. A terrific show for little kids.
And, oh, that Miss Frances.

DDS was a precursor to Romper Room..

/Romper Room's Mascot was Do-Bee!
//And parents allowed their kids to watch the show despite the daily references that Do-Bees are good!
