Sister Mary certainly doesn't look it. FIRST BASE! Not a day goes by when I don't wish Life Begins At Eighty would come back so we could see her **amazing** panelist skills at work. The academy had better get busy on honoring her. And an appearance on GSN Live wouldn't hurt, either.

Boo hiss to CBS. Even if the format wasn't perfect... after almost 20 years Password-less I was willing to take anything just to get it back on the air. And I'd gladly take a 30-minute version of MDP over no Password at all.

I thought after the Christmas week episode came in 7th in the ratings we wouldn't have to worry about this.

FWIW, the CBS web site still has Jan. 11 and 25th episodes listed.

Sigh.

According to the Prof's Fix, CBS has said "in at least one trade publication" that the show isn't canceled. He indicates the football games were the cause for the schedule adjusting. If indeed true, I can understand keeping 60 Minutes and removing MDP. It's got to be harder to re-air a timely newsmagazine than a game show.

At one point in time, there was an episode scheduled for 1/25. CBS's schedule will be updated tomorrow for far enough in the future to tell if the program will air.

So, at this point the message is: Who knows?

That's the weekend between the NFL Conference Championships and the Super Bowl, too. (It's also the day of the LNH Match des Etoiles in Montreal.) If they ARE confident in the show, that's the week we're gonna see it. (Figuring they're busy the weekend before, and going to concede the night to NBC the following Sunday.)

I dunno. If they've pulled it for football, plugging one episode in all by itself in the between-week doesn't necessarily seem like the obvious thing to do. My gut feeling is that they'll wait until later in February.

/Seems so weird to say March sweeps.
